Developments in the sphere of innovative medical technologies

Close JSC Scientific Research Institute for Photon Radiation Therapy

About the company

The Close JSC Scientific Research Institute for Photon Radiation Therapy was established in spring 2007; it united specialists in the fields of Radiobiology, Nuclear Engineering, Pharmacy, Nuclear Medicine and Management. The scientists at the Photon Radiation Therapy institute include corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Doctors of Sciences and PhDs. Establishment of the Institute was the result of a desire to introduce, into medical practice, new highly effective Russian developments in the sphere of radiation therapy for malignant neoplasms. These binary radiation technologies are capable of destroying tumor cells without causing irreversible radiation damage to healthy tissues.

Our partners

The Scientific Research Institute for Photon Radiation Therapy collaborates with leading Russian scientific centers and organizations:

  • The Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
  • Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Chemistry;
  • Russian State Medical University;
  • A.I. Burnazyan Russian Medical Biophysical Center;
  • N.N. Blokhin Russian Oncological Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences;
  • LLC “Diagnostics-M”;
  • Close JSC “Komita”

Our achievements

The Scientific Research Institute for Photon Radiation Therapy owns patents on a variant of binary technology and on all the medications required for its realization.
The Institute has developed a set of facilities that provide for the implementation of binary radiation technology in clinics.

At present there are no other equivalents of this complex anywhere else in the world

The complex allows determination of the content of the required elements in the biological target exposed to radiation and its radiation with photons of appropriate energy. Moreover, a photon emitter is indicated for intraoperative radiation therapy and as an external source of radiation duringеthe treatment of surface tumors. The results of our studies allow us to start the organization of clinical studies in the sphere of binary radiation therapy as well as in the sphere of instrumental medical diagnostics.
